Effective December 1, 2026, for Health Plan of Nevada, Sierra Health and Life, and Health Plan of Nevada Medicaid members, prior authorization will again be required for selected Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) services. Learn more.
Medicaid plan updates/information
Medicaid Open Enrollment is underway, and providers play an important role in helping members understand their options. Nevada Medicaid has mailed annual open enrollment packets to all Medicaid members, which include information on how to change Managed Care Organizations (MCOs). Members may submit a change request now through December 15, 2026,
with any approved plan changes becoming effective January 1, 2027. Current HPN Medicaid members do not need to take any action to remain enrolled. Members interested in switching to HPN Medicaid can complete and return the change form included in their state mailing. If a member does not have a form, HPN can provide change forms and stamped envelopes for your office to distribute. Providers can also direct members seeking additional information about enrolling with HPN to ChooseHPN.com
