Easy Blueberry Peach Crumble

It’s Just Peachy

Two tempting fruits come together to make a warm and cozy ending to any meal. When baked, the stars of this dessert-peaches and blueberries-become even more intense in flavor. Topping it with a decadent combination including almonds, cinnamon and oats pushes this over the edge of amazing. And did we mention how easy it is?

Ingredients

For the fruit:

  • Four medium peaches, sliced
  • One 6 ounce carton fresh blueberries
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar

For the Topping:

  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup chopped almonds
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup butter (for vegan, substitute vegan butter)

 Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. In a large bowl, mix peaches and blueberries together. Add lemon juice, flour, sugar; mix well and pour the mixture into a greased 8-inch square baking dish.
  3. Stir oats, brown sugar, 1/4 cup flour, almonds, cinnamon, and nutmeg together in a small bowl. Mash butter into the oats mixture with a pastry cutter or a fork until the mixture is crumbly; sprinkle over the fruit.
  4. Bake 30 minutes and serve!
