What to know about COVID-19 coverage and the ending of the Public Health Emergency
On May 11, 2023, the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency (PHE) ended. As a result, some of your coverage benefits for COVID-19 may have changed.
While the PHE has ended, we recommend that you continue to follow guidelines and recommendations set by health experts. Visit the CDC to find updated information and guidance.

Understanding coverage after the end of the PHE on May 11, 2023.
Your plan covers ACIP recommended and CDC adopted COVID-19 immunizations and administration as part of preventive benefits.
COVID-19 lab tests
Your plan covers FDA approved or authorized COVID-19 lab tests that are ordered/performed by a physician or health care provider in accordance with your plan benefit, where cost share may or may not be applicable.
Over-the-counter COVID-19 tests
After May 11, 2023, your plan no longer covers over-the-counter tests. You may use a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) to pay for your over-the-counter tests.
Your plan covers FDA-approved or authorized COVID-19 treatments based on your medical or pharmacy benefits. Cost share may apply.
